Due to the continued unhealthy air quality in Seattle, Villa Academy's campus will be closed to all students through Friday, September 18, 2020.
There will be no preschool classes on campus and the supervised on-line instruction for students through the EDP program will not meet on campus.

On-line instruction will take place as previously planned and faculty/staff members will be allowed to use their Villa Academy classroom, if necessary, to provide on-line instruction.

Monthly VPA Meetings

VPA meetings take place in the Villa Parlor, generally after drop-off, but occasionally in the evening. We invite you to join us.

Volunteering at Villa

We welcome and encourage you to volunteer at Villa. Through the VPA you’ll learn about the many ways that parent volunteers support the school with their time, effort, and expertise. There’s a role for you that fits any schedule!

Required Trainings for Volunteers:

Each school year, all Villa volunteers must attend a required training that outlines our policies around student safety and common expectations. Watch VikingNET and The Weekly for volunteer training dates and times.

  • The goals of volunteer training are Student Safety and Common Expectations.
  • New volunteers must attend a beginner training session, which runs about an hour.
  • Seasoned volunteers take a shorter course, but can attend the beginner course.
  • No registration is necessary.

Participate in VPA Programs

The VPA hosts some of the region’s most respected experts to present lectures on a range of parenting issues – from academic and social issues, to discipline and development, and much more.

It’s easy to shop on behalf of Villa when you bookmark www.smile.amazon.com and designate Villa as your charity of choice.

Here’s how to Shop Amazon Smile:

  • In order to generate funds, you must use the ‘smile’ link every time you shop. It won’t work if you shop directly at Amazon.com.
  • Search for and Select Villa Academy as your Charity of choice.
  • Start shopping! 0.5% of the total of eligible purchases will come to Villa. Villa receives this money approximately 45 days following the end of each quarter.
  • You’ll know that a product is eligible for the donation when you see the AmazonSmile Logo on the product detail page below the Stock Status (in green or red if out of stock).

Half a percent may not sound like a lot, but if we all shop to benefit the VPA, we can support programs such as Rainier Scholars, Teacher and Staff Appreciation, and events that make our community stronger.

"Boxtops for Education" allows the VPA to earn funds for a variety of school programs and opportunities when you shop.

  • This brief video explains how the program works.
  • Sign up for the "Boxtops for Education" App through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • When you scan your receipts, you'll enter "Villa Academy" to give the school credit for your purchases.
  • Invite others to participate: grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, or colleagues to sign up for the Box Top App.
