Update from Head of School - September 1, 2021
Dear Villa community,
Villa Academy’s mission is to develop the whole child academically, spiritually, and emotionally. We meet children where they are and focus
on building confidence and encouraging compassion as they grow into teens and adults.
In pursuit of that endeavor, Villa Academy is proud to offer a new and comprehensive student resource during the 2021-2022 academic year, the Steven S Reinemund, Jr. Counseling Center. Named in honor of the late Steven S Reinemund, Jr., a beloved Villa Academy parent and dedicated volunteer, the Counseling Center will expand upon and leverage the school's existing counseling services to help students achieve their fullest potential.
Like his namesake counseling center, Steven selflessly invested himself in others with abounding enthusiasm. His enduring love of family and community will undoubtedly continue in the Center’s work. You can read more about Steven's remarkable life here.
The Steven S Reinemund, Jr. Counseling Center also underscores Villa Academy’s aspiration to take up our founder's mantle and lead by example. Mother Cabrini's compassionate legacy and life of service are the bedrock of our school's culture. She inspires our continued efforts to nurture our students' social, emotional, and spiritual needs.
We are honored to provide these new services in celebration of Steven and the spirit of Mother Cabrini. More information will follow on the plans for the Center. If you would like to join us as we take on this endeavor, please consider donating here.
Sincerely,
Julie Thenell Grasseschi, Interim Head of School
