School lunches return this Fall!

After a year's absence, Villa Academy is preparing to offer our school lunch program beginning
September 7 to our K-8 students.
Get ready for a brand new system of meal pre-ordering and delivery!
Hot lunches will be prepared in our kitchen, boxed up, and delivered to your child’s homeroom to be enjoyed. Our menu will be simplified
while we refine this new system, with the hopes of increasing food choices at a later date.
After much consideration, we have chosen a new menu and ordering system called HotLunch.com. We think this will work really well. Parents
will be able to view the monthly menu via their smartphone, tablet, or laptop, and preorder and pay in one go.
Watch for an email from us with instructions regarding how to set up your account.

Villa’s HotLunch.com platform will go live on Friday, August 27.
- Please try and place your first lunch order by Thursday September 2. We encourage you to preorder for the entire month all at one time for each student. However, the cut-off date for ordering lunches will be 10 PM the night before. You may also cancel your order the night before, and your account will be credited.
Some returning families may still have credit on their former Mealtime lunch account. If so, any remaining balance will be automatically
refunded to your August Tuition statement. If you have any questions regarding that refund, kindly contact Becky Bocian in our business
office at bbocian@thevilla.org.
I’d also like to invite parents to join the group of Villa Lunchroom volunteers. Our new lunch program requires additional labor to box and
deliver the meals, and that requires help from our parent volunteers. As always, all parent volunteers are required to complete Villa’s
volunteer training and have an updated background check on file. Additionally, any volunteer who works in the school building must provide
proof of Covid vaccination. If interested please contact Sarah Staiger, our volunteer coordinator, at sarahstaiger@yahoo.com for
