A Christmas Greeting

Dear Friends,  

Early tomorrow morning, my colleagues and I will come together for our annual "Festival of Lights" Christmas candlelight prayer service, normally held in the Villa chapel. This year will be different as we gather via a Zoom conference call. The Festival of Lights is a lovely Villa tradition that helps each of us focus on the "reason for the season."

I want to share with you a portion of the closing prayer from the service that encourages everyone in the Villa community to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the year—and especially within our families, at work, and in the local community.
 Jesus, you come to us this Christmas as a beacon of light in a sometimes dark
and lonely world.  

Help us to be open to your presence and light every day.  

Let us share that light with all, through who we are and what we do. Amen.
