Dr. Patrick Marti, Villa Middle School science and math teacher, was one of only 10 teachers across the U.S recently selected for the National STEM Scholar Program, run by The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University (WKU).
A professional development opportunity for middle school science teachers, the program includes a week of hands-on training at WKU in August, a grant to complete a challenge project at school, and an all expenses paid trip to the National Science Teachers Association National Conference in Chicago in April.
We'll learn more in the coming school year about the challenge project Dr. Marti has designed for Villa students. But for now, we congratulate him on this significant accomplishment. We're proud that he's a part of the Villa teaching community.
