Oluo is a Seattle-based writer, speaker, and the author of the New York Times best-seller, So You Want to Talk about Race. She was chosen as one of the Root 100's Most Influential African Americans in 2017, honored with the 2020 Harvard Humanist of the Year Award, and was named by Seattle Magazine as one of Seattle's Most Influential People.
