Social Emotional Learning

From preschool through 5th grade students learn and practice social emotional skills on an age-appropriate continuum through fun and interactive lessons, role plays, games, stories, video segments, and short daily reinforcements. Students also begin to develop self-care skills, an emotion “vocabulary,” and problem solving strategies for both in or out of school.

In Middle School, students benefit from our Advisory Program.

In safe and emotionally-secure classrooms we encourage students to share their feelings and solve problems together. Daily/weekly class meetings enable such an environment to thrive. Whether celebrating each other or solving problems together, students are empowered to make a difference in their classroom community and their school.
